December 29th, 2009 -- CA's Supportive Housing Program was recently awarded a renewal grant of $211,333 as part of a competitive renewal process under HUD's Continuum of Care funding. The grant, a one-year renewal, was awarded as part of the City of St. Louis' annual funding cycle.
CA's Supportive Housing Program provides rental assistance and case management to 12 families who are homeless and have a head of household with a disability. CA works with those who have mental health issues in order to overcome those barriers and live more independently.
CA was initially awarded the grant under a 2002 funding cycle. The program recently complete it's fifth year of operation and has been awarded a renewal grant twice.
