Jail Diversion Numbers Show Positive Results

Through a federal grant and partnership with the City of St. Louis, the Jail Diversion program at Community Alternatives seeks divert individuals from incarceration by linking them to appropriate mental health and substance abuse services.  

In February, new data was released covering the program to date.

Path Team honored by City

The Path Team was honored by the St. Louis City Health Department for their work and collaboration with various HIV/Aid services in St. Louis.  The award was made on World Aids Day December 1, 2009 -

St. Louis Memorializes Homeless who Died in 2009

On December 21, 2009, The Longest Night, a memorial service, was held at the Centenary Church - The homeless who died in 2009 were remembered by their neighbors and friends -There were 28 names read in honor of the dead.

CA Housing Grant Renewed for $211,333

December 29th, 2009 -- CA's Supportive Housing Program was recently awarded a renewal grant of $211,333 as part of a competitive renewal process under HUD's Continuum of Care funding.  The grant, a one-year renewal, was awarded as part of the City of St. Louis' annual funding cycle.
